This Institute of Geological Sciences now British Geological Survey (BGS) marine geochemical and sampling survey took place in July 1981 in the Solway Firth aboard the Samuel Baxter. Sea-bed samples were collected using shipek grab. The sample data are archived by BGS. No BGS survey report currently available.
