abstract This British Geological Survey (BGS) sampling survey took place during October & November 1986 to the North and West of the Shetland Islands on board the MV Kommandor Subsea. To the East of the Shetland Islands a geochemical sampling programme was carried out. Seabed samples and cores were collected using Shipek grab, Vibrocorer and Gravity corer. These data are archived by BGS. Technical details of the survey are contained in BGS Internal Report WB/87/7.
