| abstract |
This geophysical survey has been carried out by British Geological Survey (BGS) for BGS, these surveys are assumed to have taken place in June and October 1969 whilst on route between main survey projects on board the Moray Firth IV. Irish Sea line was run between 1969/6 & 1969/7 surveys on route from Barry to Irish Sea. The Pentland Firth and Moray Firth lines were acquired after the 1969/3 survey. The purpose was to collect data for use in regional mapping. Sea floor data were collected using an echo sounder and transit sonar. Sub-bottom profiling data were collected using sparker. Gravity meter and magnetometer data were collected. These data are archived by BGS. No BGS survey report currently available.
